Is this stuff really free?
Ah, you just asked the number one question we get. The answer is yes they are.
Companies, Websites and/or organizations offer free stuff as an incentive to try their products or services,
or to gather important demographic marketing data for future products. There are variations however to the
term free. These include:
Totally Free: Requires no shipping and handling of any kind. Just sign-up and get it. |
Almost Free: Requires a small shipping and handling fee, usually less then 5% of the total cost of
the item offered. These offers are only listed in our "Almost Free Stuff" category. |
Free Trials: These are freebies usually with a time limit associated. A good example of one of
these offers would be a trial magazine subscription where there is a cancellation period, (e.g., "cancel
with-in 30 days and you won't be charged".) |
Free With Participation: Additional action is required to get the offer. This can range from
signing up for additional free offers to filling out a series of surveys. The additional requirements vary
and depend on the value of the item being offered. |
In all cases we try to list what type of offer it is in our reviews. Please note that offers do change quickly
on the Internet. Although we try very hard to keep our content current, we suggest that you always exercise
caution when visiting an offer link. Spend the time to read the sites "terms" page and make common
sense decisions on whether to apply for the offer or not.
I came to your site from the UK and some of your links are redirecting to a survey site, what gives?
This can happen if the offer link you clicked on is for U.S. residents only. This
is an external offer link bug and we are in the process of trying to get it resolved. In the mean time, we
suggest those coming to our site from outside the United States visit our International Freebies
page. This page was developed to only list free offers that are good outside the United States.
Does CoolFreebieLinks supply all the free stuff listed on the site?
This is the second most asked question we get. The answer is No! Absolutely not.
CoolFreebieLinks is a free offer review and listing service Website only. We do not actually offer any free
stuff ourselves, e.g., we do not ship, email or warehouse any of the free offers we list. All offer requests
are fulfilled by the websites we link to.
If CoolFreebieLinks does not supply the free stuff, how do I get it?
Just click on the offer link you're interested in. In most cases the link will
take you right to the page on the site the free offer is on. If not, you will see an "Editors Note:"
listing below the offer review that will give full details on how to access the offer page. From there, fill
out the information requested and be patient. Some free offers can take up to 8-10 weeks to be delivered to your mailbox.
What do I do if I have a question or concern about an offer I applied for and did not get?
Although we try and be as through as possible when reviewing and listing a free offer, unfortunately, problems
like not getting an offer you applied for do occur. For the most part these are infrequent and are caused by
a myriad of situations. These can include inadequate supplies of the items offered, inaccurate shipping
information etc.. Since (as stated above) we do not supply any of the free offers we list, we also can not
offer help on, or answer questions about, offers our visitors have applied for and have not received. Requests
for help and questions regarding free offers listed on CoolFreebieLinks should be directed to the offering
party site. If you are really serious about staying on top of applying for - and receiving free stuff, we
recommend that you keep a log of the offers you apply for. The log should include the following information:
-
The offers name. (e.g., XYZ Free T-shirt)
-
The offering sites Web address. (e.g., http://www.the-free-offer-I-applied-for.com)
-
The offering sites email/contact information
-
The email address you used to apply
-
The shipping address you used to apply.
-
The date you applied for the offer.
Since most freebie junkies are notorious for applying for many offers every day, this type of log can be an
invaluable tool. It will not only keep a running record of the offers you applied for, but will also safeguard
you from applying numerous times for the same offer.
So, do you do anything about offer links that don't do what they say they will?
Once again, we try our best to fully review offers before we list them on our site.
While we are limited in responding to non fulfillment issues etc.., We do maintain a running log of
positive/negative feedback from our visitors regarding all the offers we list. Should an offer link receive
numerous complaints regarding any visitor concerns (including fulfillment issues), we will immediately pull
that offer link from our site.
Why do all of your offer links open up in a new browser window?
We list up to 35 offers per category page on CoolFreebieLinks. We are also adding new offers all the time. A
lot of our visitors check out multiple offers on different pages. Having offer links open in a new browser
window saves our visitors time and aggravation. Instead of having to navigate back to our site via their
browser back button, they simply close the offer window when they are done applying.
Some of the free offers you list require only my email address and shipping information, while others
require a lot more like my phone number, age, marital status etc. Why?
Free offers are provided by many different companies, Websites, organizations etc.
Each have different requirements regarding what information is needed to apply for their offer. In most cases,
the company, Website and/or organization is offering the free stuff as an incentive to try their products or
services, or to gather important demographic marketing data for future products. The later is especially true
of survey offers (e.g., where you have to complete a survey to qualify for the freebie). While we try and
specify what is required to apply for a free offer in our reviews, it is ultimately up to you to decide if the
freebie being offered warrants giving out the information requested. Please note that we have listed a bevy of
cool tips and tricks regarding giving out this information while maintaining your security in a free tutorial.

Do you offer a newsletter?
Unfortunately no, not at this time. We have offered a newsletter in the past and
are currently considering starting one up again as well as an RSS feed. We appreciate your patience while we
research these and make our decision.
We are a company offering a freebie - can you list it on your site?
We are always looking for cool free stuff to list on our site. We have a form page
set up to suggest a free offer to us. Just fill out the form and we'll be more than happy to review your offer
for inclusion on our site. You can view this form page by clicking this link: Free Offer Listing Request Form.
I'm not a company, just a freebie junkie, and I found a cool free offer you do not list - how can I tell
you about it?
First, Thank You for taking the time to tell us! Second, just visit this link:
Free Offer Listing Request Form and give us the details. We'll take
it from there. BTW, we're avid freebie junkies too!
I am from the media and would like to interview you about your site and free stuff in general. Do you do
this sort of thing?
Absolutely! We are always happy to work with the media and help. Whether it is
about our site or free stuff in general. We have done many TV, radio and magazine interviews since 1998. You
can view one of these interviews by visiting this page: NBC Story. Media
personnel that would like to contact us regarding interviews or general information can do so by e-mail -
mediainfo-07 (at) coolfreebielinks.com, by contact form or by
phone - 440 - 725 - 3304.
I see you have a Web search feature. Is it safe?
Yes it is. It incorporates a family safe search filter so you won't be presented
with any objectionable results. Our search option is accessible from the bottom of all our category pages.
I clicked on an offer link and it came up as "404 - page not found" or "this offer is no longer valid",
what should I do?
Once again, we try and keep our site and offer links as current as possible.
However, due to the cost of offering free stuff, companies tend to pull them very quickly. This can lead to
one of the above situations. If you encounter this, please help us out by taking a moment to send us a short
note regarding the problem link. You can do this by using our Feedback Form.
Thanks in advance!

I have a website I think would be of interest to your visitors and would like to partner with you - how do
I do this?
We are always looking for quality link partners. Please visit our
"Partnership Link Information" page for complete
information.
I would like to place your button or text link on my Website or newsletter as an added benefit to my
visitors - how do I do this?
First of all thank you, we are very flattered. Secondly, feel free to go ahead
and do this. We have created a link code page complete with instructions to make this process easy. You can
view these links codes by visiting this page: CoolFreebieLinks Link Codes.
I have a website and would like to copy and place your offer links on it, can I do this?
We would appreciate it if you would not do this. This is referred to as
"scrapping" in the industry. We spend a lot of time visiting and reviewing offer links for
our visitors. We suggest you do the same as opposed to copying (and to be blunt) stealing it from other sites.
Trust us when we say it will be of great benefit to you in the long run.
I have a question not answered here - what can I do?
Feel free to contact us via our Feedback Form. We read our mail
every day and we will try and get back to you in a reasonable time frame. Note: Be sure to check the
"Reply Required" box so we know we should respond to your question. |
