Visit freerangestock.com for a great selection of high-resolution, high quality free stock photos and textures. The site offers a keyword searchable database so finding what you want is easy. All free images are at least 2400x1600. Registration is required and is also free.

Free Stock Photos
Online since 1999, Free Stock Photos is an archive of images, where the photographers have agreed to share their photos for use by others. The free photos are available royalty free for personal or commercial use with one exception. If the photo is used for a website, a link back is required. Currently there are over 6,000 free stock photos to choose from on the site. Free Stock Photos requires free registration to use the service.

morguefile
A morguefile is an inactive or post production material reference file. This morgue file contains stock photography images free for either corporate or public use. The purpose of this site is to provide artist, illustrators, 3D artist and designers raw reference material.

StockGrafix.com
This site offers a growing selection of free, high quality editorial and commercial, web size and small print photos (300 dpi), digital illustrations, photo illustrations and graphics. The site is categorized. There are three main category headings - Square, Horizontal and Vertical. Each have sub categories with examples like Business, Flags, Food and Drink, People and more. Free Stock Flower Photos
This site offers over 1500 beautiful stock flower images - all without watermarks or restrictions. Most of the photos offered here were taken by Gregory Robinson, the sites owner. All are 640×426px however, the site states that they will send you the original high res image via email for free if asked. Navigation on the site is a little sckechy and photo listings lack descriptions, (e.g., the name of the flower would have been nice). Other than that, this is a really nice resource for anyone looking for 100% free flower images.

Stockvault
Stockvault serves up a bevy of free high resolution stock photos for personal, non commercial use. Categories here include backgrounds, animals, 3D render, people, nature and more. The site also offers very informative photo tutorial and webmaster help sections.

Dundee Satellite Receiving Station
The Dundee Satellite Receiving Station, Dundee University, UK, maintains an up-to-date archive of images from NOAA, SeaStar and Terra polar orbiting satellites.
