Internet Free Stuff - An Overview

Lesson 1 of our free stuff tutorial - Information on what free stuff is, why it is offered and by whom.

What is free stuff anyway?

That’s a great question that I get asked all the time. What exactly is free stuff and how can it actually be free? Free stuff and/or freebies are nothing more than promotional giveaways. You may not realize it, but you’re exposed to free stuff all the time. Ever seen the people in your local grocery store giving out samples of a new food product…well...those are freebies right?. Now think about what the person says after they give you that tiny piece of free pizza to try…"They’re available in the frozen foods section - isle 5". This free giveaway and subsequent sales pitch have been a staple of business marketing for years.

Are they really free?

Hold onto your hats, the answer is YES they are! Completely, totally and absolutely free and yours just for the asking!

Best part is, I'm going to show you in this tutorial how to get all this cool free stuff safely...and without giving up your privacy to boot!

How can companies offer all this free stuff, what's the catch?

Companies that offer free offers do it because they are great marketing tools to increase their customer base and/or sales of other related product lines. Also, by offering free samples of a new product, they can test the water (so to speak) to see if it will be accepted, what the consumers reaction to it is, and if they need to change anything before going ahead with an expensive mass market ad campaign. This is extremely valuable information to a company and can actually save them thousands of dollars on everything from product development to market price alignment.

The only catch in getting your free stuff is that you'll have to let loose with some personal information. Most only require a small amount like your home and email address. The 1st so they can ship the item to you, the 2nd I'll tell you more about as we move on.

The amount of personal information required depends on the company making the free offer. Don't worry though, later on in this tutorial, I'll give you tips and tricks on how to keep your personal information as private as possible and still apply for tons of free stuff.

Ok, so how do I find all this cool free stuff on the Internet?

Well, you could try and hunt down each individual offer by visiting all of your favorite company web sites. Not very realistic you say? You're absolutely right. That's why multiple offer free stuff sites (like Cool Freebie Links) were created. They hunt down all of the free offers available on the ‘Net, add a description and then link them to the offering web site. Think of multiple offer free stuff sites as a "Yellow Pages" for freebies. Tons of great free offers all in one convenient place.

Hey I’m back. I entered "free stuff sites" on a search engine and it not only came up with 600 links to what were supposed to be freebie sites, but loads of other unrelated junk too…what gives!?

As my 4th grade teacher used to tell me all the time, "That’ll teach you not to not finish your homework young penguin!" Just kidding…Really...I know how you feel.
